Going to camp is one of the highlights of many during the holidays. A summer camp is a great place for children to get fresh ideas, make new friends, and fill up on energy for the coming year. MFA Education is excited to launch a unique 5-day Sailing camp and other activities in Suzhou – designed to help students discover new sports and engage in interdisciplinary project-based learning.
Students gain hands-on experience to develop their own engineering project and explore the key techniques to unlocking optimal productivity – all the while having fun and staying active during this summer vacation.
The action-packed camp includes sailing, kayaking, and cross-county orienteering training.

Over five days, students will learn the basics of sailing, with on-land and on-water practice. They’ll receive personalized instruction on how to develop a safe stroke, build endurance and coordination, and practice teamwork with each other. At the end of the camp, students will put their skills and training to the test by competing in a mini-rowing regatta.
The students will also get the opportunity to learn how to kayak safely. Learn the basics like proper entry and exit into and out of the kayak, how to correctly hold a kayak paddle, and paddling forward and backward, and making turns. The students will enjoy their time on water while practising a new activity.
Another great sporting activity that the students will experience is orienteering. The students will learn how to use their navigational skills using a map and compass to navigate from point to point in an across-country environment whilst moving at speed to complete the sporting activity.
Although each child is a unique individual, we believe a summer camp is beneficial for all kids. No matter what your child’s interests are, a summer camp will help children develop important social, emotional and cognitive skills. And, of course, children create memories that last a lifetime at a summer camp.
More specifically, our Summer Camp program is designed to develop leadership and teamwork skills, encourage a connection to nature and natural landscape, build self-esteem, develop friendships, and last but not least, for children to have fun in a safe learning environment.
